Re: Download Vanguard balances prior to 2008?

You'll want to enter a range of dates. Use the date for which you want a documented balance as the beginning date (for the end date you can use any date, it doesn't matter). You're right, you'll see a list of all the transactions for that period--- now, look at the bottom of that listing, to the rig...

Re: Download Vanguard balances prior to 2008?

A few months ago I needed year-end IRA account balances for 1999, and finally found on the Vanguard website. It’s not a statement, per se, but this allows for balance queries all the way back to 1993 for any given account. It’s a bit clumsy, and you’ll need a new query for every balance date you wan...

Thanks for weighing in, everyone. The 1998 conversion amount was only approx $5,200 in total, making each year's taxable amount only approx $1,300. Not high-roller material, definitely. I'll definitely look into F5329.

1998 Roth four-year conversion spread; Taxes paid only first year. How to fix this?

Hi, all. I’m really appreciative of your expertise and helpfulness, and would be very grateful for any guidance on this issue. Back in 1998 I was single and decided to take advantage of the four-year Roth conversion spread. So on my 1998 1040 I paid taxes on one-fourth of the TIRA—->Roth conversion ...

My dad was 91 and living at home, so the Phillips Lifeline fall detection pendant was a necessity. It worked very well because he indeed did fall several times. Indeed, if it gets this complicated I'll just take the distribution and be done with it.

If it's as simple as a FBO check I send to Vanguard, followed by future auto-deposits of rmd's and e-access to the 1099s, I'll proceed.
