Re: HSA employer contribution confusion (federal employee)

Just a observation / thought: My official pay day was Thursday, January 2, 2020; I receive my pay by direct deposit on each preceding Monday each pay day week. Due to the New Years Holiday 1/1, NFC paid us on the normal Monday, December 30, 2019. This is a long way of say there was for me an extra "...

Make sure the proposed house on not on the school's maintenance / rehab list... you don't want to be told you have to move out for three months...

If you accept the housing can a higher ranked official bump you with short notice?

Also check your real estate settlement statement from the closing for any state tax withheld. Some states require backup withholding when the seller is not a resident.

I had a similar problem as bpg;

I noticed that my computer automatically saved the file(s) in Microsoft Edge format, which is unsupported by the new calculator.

I right clicked on the exported file(s) and clicked on "open with" and selected Internet Explorer.

This solved my problem.

Re: Tax bill for an account I don’t know by the IRS every year

Good advice above and I believe its a definite violation of FINRA rules (See FINRA Regulatory Notice 11-02), specifically SB's "know you Customer" responsibilities.

Maybe threaten them with invoking arbitration over your time, accountants time and cost for letters to IRS, etc. and see what happens?
