Re: Beware Amazon Price Gouging

There's an item that used to be available at Amazon as an add-on for $3.00. (non-book item) For the past few months, it's been offered at $45.00 -- from a non-Amazon seller -- and it's the only seller. I know it's a false equivalency to compare Amazon to non-Amazon, but heck, that's a 1400% price i...

LL Bean makes a mid weight Cresta Wool zip neck which is my favorite; I compared the Smart wool and the Cresta wool in the LL Bean store last year when I purchased it, and they were exactly the same.

I have no idea why Subaru is considered reliable. They have major engine issues and I don’t see that being fixed with the new cars. I’d go Honda over Subaru any day. Not sure why you would want to switch to save a few dollars, and I would never even consider switching from my iPhone.

I have used the Costco service. I consider the Costco price a starting point. You can negotiate further from there. Exactly, just a starting point, but they only offered me $400 under invoice, which is not that great. There's no getting away from some degree of haggling if you want to keep some of ...

get the invoice price and then walk into the dealership and simply ask, "how much above invoice will you sell me this car for".
Why would you ask to buy it above invoice? You should be able to buy almost any car for a minimum

I didn't see it mentioned but in a lot of states you pay taxes or "highway use taxes" on a vehicle at time of acquisition. Also taxes would inherently go down as a vehicle ages so the 10 year ownership vs lease will come out ahead again. ALSO Cars wear most things out because of age and hours not m...
