avg cost vs Spec ID

My accts have been using Avg. Cost. If I change that to Spec ID now, does that only go into affect for future purchases or does it look back into my previous buys?

The gain is $4k, not $10k. My mistake.

I guess my question would be, Do I stay in the limited term fund or sell it take the gain (and the tax hit) and move back to intermediate-term fund. I was anticipating that rates would have increased by now and I would have been able to talk tax loss Harvest back into the intermediate term fund but ...

The goal was to have a high quality tax exempt bond fund. Sold the intermediate fund to TLH, now I'm stuck in the limited term fund with a gain.

Looking for a relative who wants to stay with Fidelity. Looking for a highly rated, low-ish cost, 60/40 or 70/30 mix. She wants 1 fund that she can easily dollar cost avg into for the next 10 yrs. I'm not that familiar with Fidelity's offerings.

I could hold the Limited Term fund until it shows a loss, then TLH back into Inter. Term fund.

If that doesn't happen, is the Limited Term fund a 'good enough' fund to own for the long term?

I took a $10k loss late last year when I moved from Inter. Term TE into Limited term. Now I have a small gain in Limited Term.

Late last year, I TLH from Van. Inter. Tax Exempt Bond into Van. Limited Term Tax Exempt Fund.

We are also shopping for a 3 row vehicle with captains chairs in 2nd row. Already have a minivan. Have you looked at the Buick Enclave or the gmc acadia? We test drove both last week.

It's for my wife, and the Ford flex is probably too funky for her. Yes I did see the new Acadia is smaller (strange decision) and now the 2016 models are getting hard to come by bc lots of folks want the larger vehicle.

some roofers use nail guns and others hand nail. Is one better than the other? I'd have to assume the hand nailer, would cost more due to more labor involved.

I assume, one should call a roofer first to take a look and then, if hail damage, at that point call the insurance company to send an adjuster over (rather than calling the insurance co first)?
