“We” isn’t guaranteed in the future, plan enough for retirement like you’re going to be living off of your accounts alone.

You may think that can’t happen, I didn’t think so 5 years ago and it did. My solace came that I always had a what if for my accounts alone and I was fine.

I would go with Toyota over Honda at this point in time, in addition to the other points I just think Toyotas look better. I have a 16 Accord touring that I love and hated the redesign in 18, the latest models of the Camry and RAV4 to me look head over heels better than Honda’s offering.

I get a feeling of satisfaction when I make a buy in my taxable account, but I only do it when I have at least 1k. If I did it every time I had an extra $10 I would go mad.

I have Playstation Vue and they have Turner Classic Movies with their Core $44.99/month package. I like them because they are a no haggle month to month service and I don't need a box owned by a provider. The Playstation Vue app comes on Sony TV's, Playstation 3/4, Apple TV's, Roku and others.

Turn 37 this year and am 19 years away from retirement. I practice 120-age in stock.

50% Total US Stock
33% Total International Stock
17% US bonds (total or muni depending on account)

Once I get to 50/50 at age 70 I plan to stick with it.

It absolutely can go down for extended periods of time, I lost 50k on mine selling last week (purchased 2002 in Illinois).

I am going to be renting for a long time, it would take a crash like 2008 for me to consider taking on the PITA known as home ownership again.

If location is weighted so high have you considered renting? Depending on the local market it may be a better deal than buying and give you the location/space you desire. Cut the cord 3 years ago and signed up for Sony Vue a few months ago, I love the service. It comes at the lower rate than cable and I don't even have to sign a contract or call every year to threaten to cancel to get the best rate. I'll be keeping it.
