My audiologist recently explained to me that Medicare not only does not cover hearing aids but "anything hearing aid related." I suppose coverage will depend entirely upon how the visit is coded.

I don't know the total offhand, but almost everything goes on a CC. No mortgage. Property taxes, car tags, and income taxes are paid via online checking account. Nope. I'm never in the market for an extended warranty--just the item itself. If I am at all concerned about an additional warranty period, I try to be certain to use a credit card that offers at least one additional year's coverage.

The ammonia trick has worked for us when an adventuresome dog manages to get loose in the neighborhood for a while. At least he focuses on other targets. I have no idea if it works for bears, but it's worth a shot--and a hefty dose of ammonia. Good luck!

I have had two cards shut down and replaced due to fraud in 43 years. One was declined at a hotel in the process; the CC company caught the other while I was comfortably at home.
