Re: 10 Year/3 Month Treasuries Inversion

is it a good timing for fed to shrink 10 yr treasury holding in portfolio? Since 10yr/3month treasury yield inversion and 10 yr yield lower low, why don't fed just shrink their balance sheet by selling 10 yr treasure? I know the way the fed shrinks the holding by NOT renewal the holding when it matu...

As others have indicated I use the need/ability/willingness to take risk concept.

I went into retirement at 40/60 and after several years on SS changed it to 50/50.
uncle doc, 50/50 is easy to get, 40/60 means bond/stock right?

other people like put stock before bond

Re: CDs: 1 yr vs 3yr

depends on what's purpose of your CD

emergency fund? bond part of Asset allocation?

.15% is really small difference, $15 per 10k per year before tax.

Maybe 1 yr looks better choice to me. actually I'd rather to seek more alpha, bet on VOO/SPY/IVV.

Re: Turning off Amazon One Click for digital content

For at least 3-4 times , I was mislead by this 1 - click setting. I need double confirm with a order summary like how much total after tax, if the promotion credits applied, or gift card was used as first payment, like a usual online shopping order. but Amazon don't give the option. Can we sue amazon?

Re: African Safari: Worth it or Hype?

People usually overrate their travel, since they had spent so much time and money.

I have a unique way to judge if it's a hype or really worth it, check the revisiting ratio.
More returning customers, the more worth it.

The rule is also good for restaurant.

What do you think?

Re: Are expensive tires worth it?

I don't know if expensive tires are worth it but I can attest that cheap tires are not. We have an old minivan that we use very occasionally to haul things like furniture or bagged mulch from Home Depot. We might put 2500 miles a year on it so the last time it needed tires I went with cheaper tires...
