Except for San Diego, all the places you mentioned (PHX, Grand Canyon, Joshua Tree NP and Palm Springs) are very HOT in late June. O.k., maybe it is not so hot in GCNP.

I think you should just go straight to San Diego for June. Try to visit those hot places in the winter.

$77,200 is listed in the actual law passed. $77,400 is the top amount for the 12% regular tax bracket for MFJ.

I have never considered SS for retirement funding because the money may be substantially less due to fiscal challenges.

You can set either wired or wireless connection as a metered connection.

Unless the OP or his wife is a dual citizen, it may be very difficult for someone with an American passport to open an account overseas. The reporting requirements are such that American citizens are not very welcome by foreign financial institutions.
