Re: Best source for buying Gold Coins

I purchased an ounce of gold over a decade ago from https://www.apmex.com/ - I've since sold it.

I also purchased several silver coins from https://www.apmex.com/ that I've since given away as gifts.

I don't own precious metals anymore in any form.

I think I'll hang tight with Vanguard for now. I wish I'd never started with TIAA, but it is what it is... You're in a good situation. You have access to Trad and TREA, which are unique products. And TIAA has arguably the best immediate annuities available when it comes time to retire with a hefty ...

Re: VTSAX or VTWAX over the next 35 years?

If you're a U.S. investor, invested in a S&P 500 or Total Market U.S.index fund, half of your revenues already come from outside the U.S. So, you have an international fund, minus the risks (e.g. currency, sovereign, stability) and fees associated with investing in international funds. Works for me!...

Re: Will ETFs Replace Traditional Funds

ETFs are T+2 (2 days to settle). Mutual funds are generally T+1 (settle the next day).

ETFs used to be T+3. If ETFs ever get to T+1, then they would be desirable for both intraday trading and overnight settlement.
