I use Turbotax but download as much information as I can. I still check it manually so it's not really a time saver. Just prevents me from transposing numbers and makes me feel good that I'm using the technology :happy

I've owned one made by Omron for years. It was made in China though. Never any problems. I think if I was to buy another one I'd look for one that can automatically upload the data to a cell phone app.

12thKnight and Alan S,

Yes, I will be emptying the entire 401K and no, I've never taken any distribution from it before. I've read about the requirements you've both mentioned and believe I'm good there.

You have reinforced my confidence on this and I thank you both for sharing your expertise.

Company Stock NUA Question

I have a situation which I would appreciate some input on. I retired several years ago and have decided to roll over my 401K to a Vanguard IRA. Part of my 401K includes 2 buckets of company stock. One bucket is some common stock that I bought over the years and the other an ESOP bucket of company co...

Re: Worth it to replace dashboard cluster on 2008 Infiniti G35x?

I don't know about Infinities but some clusters can be repaired by a 3rd party. My BMW has some issues with the cluster and I plan on taking it out and sending it in for repair. Google "Infinity cluster repair" and see if any services are available. You'll probably find instructions on how to remove...

We stayed in Marathon a few years back just before the hurricane. There is not much to do in Marathon unless you are a boater/fisherman. Much more to do in Key West. In general the beaches are not good, nothing compared to mainland Florida.

401K Non-Taxable Balances Question

Hi, I am now retired but have maintained my 401K through my employer. As I begin to think about rolling the 401K over to a Brokerage (Vanguard) I've been looking at some of the details of the account. I see a section called Non-Taxable Balances with the following: Pre 1987 contributions - $5,802 Pos...

When I started Medicare a few years back I worked with an agent. She was very helpful in filling out the paperwork and all but I think you need to decide which type of insurance to get on your own ahead of time. She seemed to push the Advantage plans but I chose a Medigap plan based on my research.

Another vote for Porsche Boxster or Cayman. I would suggest a model year of 2009(no IMS issues) or newer and an "S" version. I've owned my Cayman S for 6 years. No problems and still a blast to drive. Great fit and finish.
