Re: Seiko Watch

Somewhat on topic but I’m a big fan of Seiya Japan for Seiko watches. Have had a number of tremendous experiences with them, fast and reliable shipping with no customs issues. I’m also a big fan of the Seiko 5 automatics that are on amazon and available elsewhere. Not a fan of a quartz or solar watc...

Re: Durable non-stick cookware suggestions?

Cookware with a “nonstick” coating is unnecessary and good marketing. All you need are some stainless steel cookware (such as All Clad D3 or D5 products) and cast iron cookware as previously mentioned. Despite the expensive all clad cookware I have, my $30 lodge cast iron skillets are my go to items.

Re: I tried to fire my financial advisor of 12 years today...

I'm feeling bad about pulling the plug on him after 12 years, so I'd love any thoughts or data about why this would be better for me in the long run! It'll help me make a final decision this weekend. And lastly, do financial planner at Raymond James get incentivized by putting me into specific fund...

Thankfully someone as great as Jack Bogle was on this earth a long time so we could all benefit from his greatness. Rest In Peace, Jack.

Re: Any good reason to get a smartwatch?

My opinion is that Alexa and verbal commanded devices are stupid. Why? Friends of ours have Alexa and when we visit, they'll shout in the middle of a conversation "ALEXA - PLAY BLINK 182", to which Alexa will respond "I did not understand". This will go on 4 times, then finally, Alexa will play Pin...

Re: Help Buying Mens Shoes for Work and Dating

My typical advice for somebody who asks this question who is looking to emphasize versatility and keeps costs down are few purchases can suit your needs: 1) Allen Edmonds Park Avenue or Fifth Avenue in Merlot (i.e. Burgundy). This color is a great black substitute and is very versatile and can be wo...

Re: Which Supermarket are you?

I too am in the Cleveland area and am a devout Heinen's shopper for groceries, produce, meats, etc. They have earned my business and $$ with their customer service, quality, and local roots. I also perceive that they take care of their employees better than other stores. I shop a little bit at Targe...

ROTH Contributions

Let's say I contributed $5,500 to my Vanguard ROTH IRA during 2013. Earnings cannot be withdrawn unless for a qualified reason, but principal and contributions can. If I withdrew this amount now, would I then be able to contribute $5,500 to a traditional IRA with Vanguard or no? Would my contributio...
