The California DMV credit card surcharge is new. Just before Sept. 28. I mailed a check to them on that day and just received my renewal tags yesterday. It took about 17 days for my check to clear and about 27 days to receive the tags.

Depends on the state what documentation you have to provide. I was able to fill out a form online, one form for all the items. In my experience, credit cards are automatically renewed. Some if not all auto-charges will migrate to the renewal. It is up to you to update the others.

As a side thought, probably no different than the $600 limit for contract labor. Theoretically, if you pay someone over $600 you are suppose to issue a 1099 (or similar form). Remember when all the people who were paying their nannies/housekeepers/etc. in cash got caught up in that (90's I believe)...

We had a great private docent tour at the zoo for about $4. That's was for our entire party, not per person. Also a great docent tour of the botanical gardens.

You probably have to submit a receipt from the child care provider and a signed request form to your employer. You could probably do this monthly or batch several months at a time.

DH is receiving benefits on my account while I have deferred until age 70. Social Security rep told me I can't see my account because although deferred, I am deemed receiving benefits and won't be able to see my account.

Square is straightforward about the fees charged. Many other credit card "brokers" charge monthly minimums, usage fees, fees for the equipment, etc. And the fees are not transparent.

I have heard that the most common printouts of credit card receipts can not be recycled due to chemical content. So, save them if you need them, but when you dump them, put them into the trash and not recycle bin.

I stopped reading after about 15 posts. I agree, you might not need calc in your future career, but having good grades in high school in all your well-rounded courses means your chances of getting into your college of choice are better.

The filing deadline this year for 1099-MISC is 1/31/17 to the IRS and the recipient. This is a change from prior years. Not sure about other forms of 1099s.

I agree with inite_difference that NAEYC accreditation is an indication of higher quality child care. It requires meeting or surpassing many quality standards in areas such as teacher education and classroom facilities and it requires periodic reaccreditation.
