Just remember the stimulus is just a forward credit and will be taken out of your standard deduction next year. Regardless of your means to spend, save, donate, I would set aside some of it to pay a potentially higher tax bill next year or less of a refund than you typically expect.

I can't help you on the housing situation (sorry) but wanted to make sure you were aware about having to MA income tax for any days you work in the state. From some friends I know who do the daily commute into MA the state is rather vigilant about it.
