Re: ?Admiral share availability in other brokerages?[Yes, after a few weeks they are now appearing at other brokerages.]

And now Merrill Edge has Vanguard Admiral shares too. At ETrade they are No Transaction Fee whereas Schwab and Merrill Edge charge their usual mutual fund fees. The E*TRADE trade ticket I pulled up listed a $50 fee if sold within 90 days. Otherwise yes it appeared to me to be free to buy and sell b...

Re: ?Admiral share availability in other brokerages?[Yes, after a few weeks they are now appearing at other brokerages.]

From another thread Vanguard Admiral shares were available for purchase at Schwab today (VTSAX, VTIAX, VBILX, etc). $3K min. They previously were available for "institutional" customers only, availability now says "open" instead. So maybe it'll be starting elsewhere too. We'll see. It appears that ...

Re: How to tell if online watches are legit?

How do shops like this get these products? What is different about them? RM Grey market watches mostly come from the actual manufacturer themselves or through their authorized dealer network. There are certainly fakes, but it's very common for (some) manufacturers themselves to sell to un-authorize...

Re: Real World Impact of Non-Vanguard Mutual Funds in Taxable Accounts

I looked last week at Schwab and Admiral shares of several funds were listed as having an "open" availability. Previously the Admiral funds were listed as being available to "institutional" investors only, with the Investor shares being "open". I have not tried to purchase any Admiral shares there y...

Re: Real World Impact of Non-Vanguard Mutual Funds in Taxable Accounts

If you are at Schwab, call them up and ask for them to waive purchase fees on Vanguard funds. It looks like the Admiral shares are going to be available for purchase at other brokerages now, and Schwab will usually waive mutual fund purchase fees for one family of funds if you have sufficient assets...

I would lump sum the EF into treasury bills, then use one of their purchased MM funds for the spare change (<1K).

Re: Schwab Vs Fidelity Vs Vanguard

I have accounts at all of them. I like using Schwab's trading software when I need to buy/sell large amounts of ETFs simply because I can see the order book. They farm it out to Citadel or whoever like most companies, so they get their cut there in terms of PFOF, but I've had good luck with six figu...

Re: Vanguard lowering Admiral level to $3,000?

If the Investor class goes away for VTSAX, can I buy VTSAX at other brokerages? Or will Admiral shares still be an "at Vanguard" only thing"?

Re: SWAN ETF - 10% Leaps / 90% Treasuries

Are there any tax benefits to a strategy like this in an ETF wrapper vs. doing it myself? If I have to roll LEAP contracts myself that's quite the tax drag.

Re: Intermittent Fasting

I do keto + intermittent fasting. I always skip breakfast, and about half the time I skip lunch opting for a large coffee with a lot of cream. When I do eat lunch it is usually a medium salad. Dinner is my heavy meal of the day. I went from over 300lbs and an A1C of 11.0 as a type 2 diabetic on medi...

Re: How to short TSLA?

As others have discussed, selling short outright is quite dangerous. Options are usually the safer bet, but there's a wrinkle with TSLA. It's trading at $327 or so and it's very volatile. This makes a single contract quite a bit of money to play around with - you aren't shorting a share or ten, you ...

I'd probably buy deep in the money puts. No margin account required but you will need a lower level options account.
