Year 1: $150k guarantee plus whatever they generate, less the 50% overhead.
I think year 1 guarantee seems fair but the 50% overhead seems a bit too high, no?? What do you think? The practice seems legit, in that it has been in business for a while and the owner is well connected in the City.

I am curious about our state GA law because i see so many out of state license plate cars that go through a full school year without changing to GA plates. I cant vouch for their license w.r.to which state issued themquantAndHold wrote: ↑Thu Sep 14, 2023 9:40 am I assume OP never registered their car in CA, either, which is similarly illegal.

Anybody in here that got Solar Panels in GA?
Our HOA president got it on the front side and I now assume that they will approve. This was my hesitancy till now. His installer gave a very high quote ($3.87/W)
I am now in the market but cannot find any local installers that can provide quotes.
Tesla gave me a quote that is very interesting.
7.625 KW system (18 panels @ 425 W) at $2.73/W before Federal rebates ($20884).
What should I be looking for in the quotes?
What should I be asking the installers?
Since I dont have any people that already have it in the local area to ask any questions.

In that price range, you should get some houses in South Forsyth (Suwanee city address in Forsyth County and not Gwinnett, Cumming) that would be about exit 12 to 15 on 400 Highway. The houses would definitely be 2000-2800 sq ft and built in this century.

Do they provide a key or card for the rentals? Or is it just an App with a guest mode?
Should you then create a profile the first time to set up settings?
If you need to charge, you then need an account and provide credit card info in that account?
Will you be able to connect your phone to the car? If so, when returning the car, you need to wipe out that personal info

I dont know why it should take so long for renewals.
All they need to do is to run any scan of issues on prior passport number and verify the picture.
I see no reason for there to be delay in those renewals. It is not like they are manually printing the passport pages and making a book and such.

Re: How April 18 deadline for 401k Catch up contributions will help in reducing 2022 taxes to be paid
Where do you (in which company) plan on contributing your IRA? Fidelity / VG etc companies. Do you already have accounts with them for prior year(s) Trad IRA contributions? If so, if you login to your account and go through contribution steps (only if you do that today or tomorrow), you will get an option to select the year this contribution should be applied to. You then select 2022 and contribute whatever you can till the max limit for each of you. You can contribute 7k and your spouse another 7k. Once you do that, you go into your tax return software and enter the total amount contributed by both of you and then the taxable amount should go down ( if the trad ira is deductible). Even if you extended your time to file the taxes, the time ...

What to do with Solo 401k?
1. Leave it as is until you close the solo 401k business.
2. Move it to personal IRA (Trad and/or roth parts)
3. Move it to another 401k (if they accept) - be it your current W2 job 401k or the new business 401k(if you set one up).

Con: It does not have the software that Tesla has. Car still cannot guide you from A to B with intermediate charging locations info. I use ABRP app for that. Is that coming in a software update? That seems like a big omission. Can ABRP actually get data from the car about actual range, or is it just working from averages? I use that any time I road trip in the Tesla. Traveling over 70 MPH runs the battery down faster, so knowing what the car actually says seems helpful. I would not count on that feature coming any time soon from Hyundai. ABRP works based on the values we enter into the App. Atleast on East Coast, Electrify America has good coverage and thus can easily trip plan the route. We have owned the car for 10 months and had nearly ...

Re: Ioniq 5 SEL AWD vs. ID.4 Pro S AWD
Didnt look at any EVs (since they werent there at any dealerships) and bought Ioniq5 in May 2022 without seeing/feeling/driving it. We went with this than ID4 due to looks, better range and price (we were eligible for the rebate then). We went on a 3k mile trip in 10 days in late July to East Coast till Maine and the Electrify America super fast charging helped as we took around 20 min breaks (Walmart locations and thus a walk into walmart for restroom break and food/drink purchase during the charging). With the increase of EVs in the area, if you still want to use Electrify America, you need to time it during non peak hours. So I installed the Chargepoint at home. Pros of Ioniq5: Comfortable seating in the back with huge legroom space than...

IONIQ5 would have been a perfect fit for the OP. There are many dealers that are now selling it at MSRP.
When we bought in May, we went to NC to get at 2.5K more than MSRP as local ATL ones were asking a lot more.
We love it for comfort of the seats and the leg room in the back.
Driven a lot in 6 months (15K+) with a 10 day long trip just charging at EA

Re: Employees want 401k how can I start?
IRAs are Individual retirement accounts and nothing do with Employer. The contribution limits are only 6.5K . I assume 100k is your income. For 10 employees, cost wise, SIMPLE IRA is the best for your company (Please do remember that you as Individual are different than COMPANY in these topics). SIMPLE IRA is easy to setup (with Fido) and employees need to start contributing and Employer need to provide 3% match to those that are contributing. Each employee can contribute upto 14k per year. Employer match will then be 3% or 3000 for 100k salary or 300 for 10k salary. The disadvantage of SIMPLE IRA for you as individual is that you cannot do back door roth (if you need to do that ofcourse). 401k would be the best option for both employer and...

Have an Hyundai Ioniq5 for less than 50 days and already have 3500 miles after completing a 1000 mile trip to FL from ATL and back.
Surprise/shock: At highway speeds of 70+ mph, my range was 3 miles a kwh (72kwh battery gives 210 miles now) compared to 4 -4.5 miles/kwh in city driving. Having AC at 74 when outside was 95+ took off a 10 mile range.
Electrify America rates in GA are 32 cents a minute while in florida is 43 cents a minute. SC is at 48 cents. Ofcourse I have a 2 year free deal.
I have a middle tier version (SEL) and the lane assist or whatever features helped me ease the tension of driving by a lot of stress levels.

I have a 70 mile a day , 3 days a week commute. I recently sold my 16 year old, 154K mile corolla and splurged on Hyundai Ionic5. I am now enjoying my silent commute and no more visits to gas stations with the current prices. I have not checked if there were corollas or camrys that were available because i wanted to enjoy life and the commute needed to earn money.
Not all things be calculated in terms of money perspective. As long as you limit your splurges and live within your means, you should be good.
What use is having money when retired and living longer as the years at the end are not the same as life in 20s to 40s.
I looked at all the EVs that you mentioned and bought the best of the current ones is what I believe.

Would your spouse employer do the payroll as a VA resident? They need to assign the spouse to an address and thereby a state.
So in that case the spouse need to file state tax returns for both VA (as non-resident or partial resident) and CT (full time resident or partial resident).
OR are they running her payroll with a CT address but no CT state tax deduction?

We bought Ioniq5 this month by paying 4k above MSRP(Shown on website of hyundai.com). We drove 180 miles to get the car we wanted with that lowest markup. Dealerships near to my place had upto 10k markup. My thought is that by the time demand and supply even out, the inflation might have increased the prices anyway.

Looking at replacing my 06 Corolla now that my work commute is 35 one way for 3 days a week in ATL traffic, I was looking for that sweet spot of good range and good price with availability to buy this quarter.
Leaf is on the lower end of price and distance range.
Tesla Y/3 a bit too high for price (no fed tax benefit) and availability into 3/4 quarter.
Ford Mach E - not taking any more reservations.
I am now looking at Hyundai Ioniq5 availability within 300 mile radius. Most are 5K + above MSRP

Re: Employer-based 401k Business Sold
Type of fees and choice of funds is dependent on your Employer as well.
MY prev Employer had it with Empower. I invested in VG Institutional/Small Cap and Mid Cap.
ER of those funds are very less.
Fee charged to me is $8 per month.
My new employer 401k is with insurance company. 1% fee is charged to me. So I did not rollover the old 401k to here.

Re: Over Contributed to 401k
I had this issue as well for 2021. My prev employer had an payroll issue in first week of Nov and showed a 401k contribution but didnt deposit it into my 401k account. I joined a new employer for remaining of nov and dec and contributed the difference based on what was contributed.
The prev employer now corrected the contribution at end of Jan 2022.

How to do this and what exactly happens?Alternatively, you could eat the double taxes and move on, which some do if it's a relatively small amount of money. May want to talk to a tax professional if you need to.

If you order it now, will you get it for your coming birthday or the one after?

Which stage in the process are you? Was it just a submission at this moment?
Were you interviewed by the company? If not, then is a good time to get the numbers.

Re: Terms of employment changing - advice for negotiating higher pay?
So there is a hedge fund and a temp agency and then your spouse who is a W2 of the temp agency.
Is the temp agency now pulling away the 401k benefit? If so, is it just to her or to all employees of the temp agency?
In this case, is it considered a benefit no longer being offered or "terms of employment" changing?
