Maintenance is expensive However, i find them reliable You dont need the high horsepower versions at first I have owned all sorts of nice cars, and exotics. Porsche is great. It all depends on how much one has.
If one has 40-50x expenses, no harm in being more into stocks.
if one is at 25x, then maybe it depends on whether or not you think stocks are going ito increase or decrease

One can change allocations and rebalance holdings by moving between stocks and bonds and cash, when risk changes. good luck to everyone, and if your risk tolerance changes, then by all means one should move things around. if risk tolerance changes, it is normal to rebalance to a different asset allocation. Happens all the time. No one should take more risk than they are comfortable with. Good luck.

if i mailed my check today, for an electronically filed return, when typically would the check be cashed?
In the past, i have seen it take over 2 weeks. I know this is difficult to assess, but what are peoples experiences..

if one is close to achieving a 0% failure on firecalc, does one adjust allocation to very conservative?
if so, and one continues to work, does one invest future earnings in 100% equities, as it is for inheritance or philanthropy, not for the original owner?

The continued problems with IT at vanguard indicate a major lack of concern and failure at their leadership level. The complaints have gone on for years, and the system remains unreliable and worrisome - this happens when leadership doesnt really care about it

Doesnt matter what you buy, just drive it for at least 100k miles or at least 6 years, so bias towards reliable. Always can do well with a one year old car, no matter what the price point.

McLaren will never have resale

Look at F430s, even with F1 transmission. Also earlier 458s.
GT3 2015-6 is a good spot for little depreciation

Unfortunately, on most streets, the cayman S is superior or the base 911 T 2018-9 model, but they will depreciate more for a lower entry point.

Ive owned several cars, all sorts and even exotics. My advice is to pick popular exotics or brands, 1-3 years old, pay cash or 0% and enjoy them. For italian exotics, can go older since they are more stable. My only regret is not driving them more, and causing more depreciation - they have been fun....

does anyone have any options to lower dividends in taxable acct? I think i will likely divide total stock into index value in tax deferred, and index growth in taxable, to cut down on future dividend taxation (20%). Berkshire is another interesting option.
