Any thoughts or experiences??

Can we stop saying that one throws away money on rent? You are paying for a roof over your head and a few walls. When I go to the market I don't say I'm throwing money away on food.
Do the people who bought houses at twice their current price say that they threw money away?
I agree. That was pushed by real estate agents and builders. People bought into it.

Get a lawyer. I tried to work with an insurance company after we were rear ended and it was 100% the other drivers fault. For 5 months we got no where. Usual stalling tactics and at one point we were told "that person no longer works here, we gave the case to so and so". In 2 months time our lawyer got us more than we would have asked ourselves. I will never ever try to settle without a lawyer when medical costs and work missed is involved.
