In our area (CT), there is a service called Mosquito Squad - it is franchised I think. For a fee, they come regularly and spray your yard during the season. Works very well, and has made our deck usable again.

We have a Hot Springs Envoy and love it. Paid about $7k, but it has been 5 or 6 years. I also am aware of the cost to heat/maintain, but don't care. We use it quite often in the winter here in CT.

I am about half way through a $2 million 20 term policy that will expire when I am 63. My agent (and friend) is suggesting that I convert $250k of it to whole life now as the option expires at the 10 year mark. I cannot think of any reason to agree to this. Based on this thread, I think you all agree?

Beware of the refurb Roku's on Woot.com. I bought one and the remote would not connect to the unit, making it worthless. I was able to get a refund. You could have downloaded the Roku app on your smart phone and controlled the device from the app, but luckily you got a refund. Maybe - I am not sure...

Zones are more important in raised ranches (I own one). When we re-did our HVAC a few years ago we went from one big zone, to four zones one of which is the first floor on the slab. This made a huge difference in comfort.

I have both a Roku 3 and the stick. The Roku 3 is definitely more responsive than the stick, but once you are streaming the stick is just fine. That said, I would buy the Roku 3.

The Toyota 4Runner Limited with AWD would be a fine choice especially considering the superb resale value and reliability. However, the ride quality will not be quite as good as a unibody SUV. We live very close to the Wustof outlet in Norwalk, CT so I use their knives. We got a set because at outlet prices it made sense. Otherwise, I agree with others to just get a few single (good quality) knives.

We prefer espresso to coffee as well and recently bought a Francis Francis X7.1 which uses Illy Iperespresso capsules. The taste is very good IMHO, and simple to use.

+1 on Cremo, although you don't have to use a brush (I don't). Fairly inexpensive and lasts a long time. Also Dorco razor and blades on Amazon - same as Dollar Shave club but cheaper.

I am about 1/3 of the way through the audiobook now and am enjoying it. It took a bit to get used to as the initial narrative is very technical (good for engineers likely), but now the story is taking off. I like the reader too.

I just power washed my Azek (similar to Trex) deck and railings for the 2nd or 3rd time...no issues. If you do end up getting a scooter, I highly recommend you look at the Sym HD200. It can get to 70mp pretty easily and is a wonderful scooter. Sym made scooters/motorcycles for Honda for years - very reliable brand. I own their Mio 50 for around town stuff.
