We have an Odyssey and an XC90. We have three kids and they have been inside the Volvo like 5 times, ever. It is a great car, but as you said, that size of SUV just does not compare to a minivan with kids.

Check out employee fiduciary. I have a very large dental practice, we switched from a pretty brutal plan to employee fiduciary about a year ago and have been happy. Our fees are about 20% of what they were previously.

We had almost the exact same experience one year ago. Same trim, purchase price within a couple hundred dollars, we are extremely happy after one year. We now have three big car seats (kids are 3, 3 and 8 months).

With your stipulations, that vehicle does not exist. We looked, and bought an odyssey. We could not be happier. We also have a Volvo XC90 and it is useless with three kids in car seats. This is what you will run into unless you go van or suburban type vehicle.

See above. My wife went to grad school and now only works very part time outside of the house. So, her debt:income ratio is horrible. I applied to refi at sofi for her, they said no. I co-signed, was approved with no issues.

That is kind of where I am at right now. Debt really bothers me, my real goal is to get rid of it all (minus the mortgage for now) ASAP. The practice loan is not something I even think about, so psychologically I would not get as much benefit from paying that down.
