-A sedan, but would consider a hatchback that has a composed and quiet ride. I only drive around 10,000 miles per year. My commute is only 3 miles each way. I'm pretty satisfied with my 1080p setup: RX 480 8GB GPU, Intel i5 6500, 16GB RAM, etc. It plays all recent mainstream games on Ultra with 60+ FPS.

Someday (3+ years I imagine) I'll build a 4K gaming rig.

Thanks for posting this information. I don't think I got an e-mail about the plan changes, but I read the documents on the website.

I guess I'll just use the BlackRock S&P 500 and Russell 2500 funds with tickers to track the corresponding CITs in the NYSDCP.

This may not apply in your case, but those with 457(b) accounts can withdraw contributions AND interest at any age provided they no longer work for the employer with whom the account is held.

Schwab Total Stock Market Index (SWTSX)
Schwab International Index (SWISX)
Schwab U.S. Aggregate Bond Index Fund (SWAGX)

Personally, I really like their website and customer service.

Did anyone else read yesterday's NYSDCP newsletter? They discuss the change in investment options, although not in great detail. Apparently a supplemental newsletter detailing the new funds will be coming out soon.

The changeover is now scheduled for July.

So as far as I can decipher from the December meeting minutes it appears that they are going pretty much to all CIT's. Although Vanguard Wellington and Primecap will still be offered. I don't like the idea of being in a CIT mainly because it's going to mess up keeping my AA accurate within my Vangu...

This is disappointing. I was considering Vanguard v. Fidelity for a Roth IRA this year and this thread (along with others in a similar vein) are tilting the scales in favor of Fidelity.

Another vote for a used Prius. I bought a 2012 last year for a little over $13K, 35K miles. I am still amazed at the gas mileage I achieve...in the summer, I often get 70 MPG on my morning commute.

Thanks for the suggestion. In that case, I think I'll go with the VIIX and when I open a Roth IRA (won't be before this April's deadline, unfortunately...but definitely by next year) I'll go with VGTSX. For bonds, VBMPX is a good choice? And finally, it makes sense to stick with Roth in my situation...
