Re: Should I buy extended warranty for our new Toyota Sienna

A little over $7000 I started selling warranties when I read a Forbes article detailing Best Buy made more profit selling warranties then product. Glad I read the article. One exc...

Lightroom & Photoshop

I would like to learn how to use these two programs for my photography. Any recommendations? Class?, on line videos (Lynda.com)?, books?

I have found some classes for $395 over a weekend that look interesting.

I like simple and these programs are overwhelming at first glance.

Thanks.

Re: Donating for a specific family

I went to the church pastor ( I am not a member of the church) and asked if there was a family in town that needed financial help. He said yes and I gave him $1500 for that family. The church treasurer advised my donation was not deductible.

Donating for a specific family

My wife and I donated funds to a church for a specific family in need in our town. Because we specified who the funds were to go to, the church treasurer said he would not give us a letter stating our donation was tax deductible. Perfect. Is there a way we can donate to specific families in need and...

Re: Schwab Brokerage

google Schwab's conservative mm fund, SWVXX and see what kind of people you are dealing with
While pushing SWVXX to you and me 2006-2008, they were telling their large institutional investors to get out NOW
people lost millions and received 22% back in class action
Right

Re: Audiophile or not??! How much to spend question

Ah, you can never spend too much on audio. All of your answers are on the forum you mentioned. I would suggest you look at the Marantz AV8801 for a sound processor. Remarkable value. The Audyssey XT32 (included in the Marantz and worth $1500 to me) calibration changed our home theater listening expe...

We saved 25% of gross compensation from 1974 through 2000, took two years off; back to work in 2002 and continued saving 25% until retirement in 2009.
You are doing a great job, stay the course.
