GPS May be running silently in the background. I had that problem due to a navigation app not being properly closed even though I had tapped the exit button. GPS will drain your battery in a hurry.

I would not replace the battery unless the battery health drops to the low eighties percent.

I am not a lawyer and only skimmed this article. Basically in CA anything over 10% would be usury if they article is correct. Yeah, I hear ya. You can always zoom...maybe even change fonts but it's kind of a nuisance .
