I shopped several companies and initially opted for a policy with Banner. On a whim I contacted Amica (where I have auto/home/umbrella) and got a quote from them that turned out to be the best deal for a 30 yr term.

I purchased 1Password as a one-time software purchase and store my password file on Dropbox. This allows my various computers, phones, tablet, etc to access my saved passwords.

1Password has been pushing their users to a subscription model like LastPass but my current setup meets my needs.

Check out low load insurance (I learned about them from an old Jane Bryant Quinn book). They typically work with advisors but will work with the general public. I purchased a wrap around disability policy to supplement a weak group policy.

Agreed. 99% of the training an advisor receives is how to sell, not finance. If the industry took time to train their advisors in finance they might wake up and learn how little they bring to the table.

I had somewhat similar requirements and ended up with a Honda Ridgeline. While it is a "truck" rather than a car I love it. I was not even considering it until I noticed it on a top five car models you are overlooking article on consumer reports.

They are decent. On the plus side they provide free cashiers checks, atm fees reimbursed, free checkbooks, etc. When I have had some problems the customer service was mediocre at best.
