Travel Records (Airport)
Hello:
As passports are now NOT stamped at airports during entering USA for US Citizens, where do we find the travel records of past? I see I-94 website for travel records however that for visa holders.
Any one can provide reference or links, appreciate.

Help request
1) It says on the form 3911
Do not send this form to this office. Instead, please use the envelope provided or mail the form to the Internal Revenue Service center where you would normally file a paper tax return what does this mean? Cant I just mail it to IRS address?
2) On the form, it also asks.
The information below is in reply to your inquiry on about your Federal tax refund for 2019, what date should I put in the space?

Really talking about money for 5 yr!
I think for this age, kids learn more from the lifestyle of their parents, elder siblings, etc.

Personal Rate of Return
Hi: trying to understand
In TRowePrice, it shows personal rate of return since inception.. for each of the investments
If it says for PRWCX, PRR since inception (10/2007) is 9.14% as of 02/2023.
PRR is calculated using Time Weighted Rate of Return method.
Does it mean I (PRWCX) performed above average or below average? Average means S&P 500 returns.
Thanks,
OneWorld

Pl,
I have an account,
I see code 846 be listed under Account Transcript 2019 and has a line item refund issued $XXXX.
Also it says code 971 notice issued above line 846. (Which i did receive)
Any help on how to figure out to contact IRS (call tips) about missing check for refund?

Amended Return 2019 query
Hello BHs
I received notice in mail in Nov2022 about refund is processed on Amended Return. However, it didn't follow with a check of refund and now its been 6 weeks.
Also, on Where's my amended return website, it shows completed Nov 2022 and it confirms it resulted in refund.
I tried to check irs website to contact and check, it's impossible. Does anyone know how to contact IRS for this issue to find where is my check/refund?
Thanks.

Mutual Fund - PRWCX Tax ?
BHs:
I have been invested (Non Retirement Account) in TRP- PRWCX fund over past few years N it has done pretty good so far. Its only 1 way deposits and no withdrawals till date. Why do I see Long Term and Short Term Capital Gains in FORM 1099 DIV every year?
Is this the main reason to replace it with similar ETF ? Expense Ratio is high compared to Vanguard or Fidelity similar funds, I can live with it.
thanks,

We bought model Y it last December..
Really fun to drive
Range is overestimated (10%)
Customer service of Tesla is pretty horrible as they only communicate via app (messages)
In the past we had Lexus, the detail is no way compared to Tesla.
Other than EV fun to drive, I don’t think there is anything special of Tesla.

Thanks added information below..
15 yr mortgage @ 3.0%.. all other investments 401K, IRA, few others are maxed...I can load up 529 but happy with pitching XX every month.
Currently no issues on cash flow and will have about 6 months in liquid..even after if I pay off.
End up in 32% tax rate bracket.
Thanx,

Hello: Just returned from Paris and SWZ. Paris is amazing place so much to do! 1) ATM from airport for best rates.. most places will accept card in Paris.used capital one with no foreign transaction fees.. always select ‘localcurrency’ Option not USD. 2) do not talk to anyone on the streets or they may distract your attention.. we were interrupted numerous times for donations, etc..streets will be crowded, so pay attention at all times. 3) museum pass is agile idea. We also did 2-day hop n hop tour and frequency should be considered. If visiting museums bus may not be best as you will spend time not on the bus. 4) advance booking can be made for Eiffel Tower tour, Louvre museum, etc.. which saves time. 5) locating restrooms is a struggle in...

What a future lies ahead!
NASA is overrated and I think better off with Boeing or Lockheed Martin or any other private company. I have worked with NASA employees and they typically outsource the work to subcontractors. The quality is average but it has the name of NASA.
Within first few years of his employment in private company, he and the company will realize his potential and he may end up doing MBA ( much more valued in corporations than Ph.D).
Thanks

Experienced BHs:: Situation: Currently we have ~$300k house (almost paid off) and was bought few yrs ago, fully expecting at that time we will move into a bigger(additional 800-1000 sq ft) ~ $500k house. It’s been few yrs (4~6) now in $300k house and I feel uncomfortable going for $500k house due to bigger mortgage, taxes, n associated costs with bigger house as most will be built in late 1990s or early 2000s. Neighborhood only has 1990s houses and we don’t want longer commutes..I don’t have affordability problem, it’s more that I will be saving less... we max all savings 401k, save for kids, etc.. for now.. thoughts please on 1. Do you think having a $300k house will affect Net Worth as it will have overall less appreciation in value? Henc...

Paris-
Does this sound like a reasonable place to stay in and around Paris?
walking distance from MAISON BLANCHE Metro station on line 7, two stations away from Place d'Italie which serves Bastille (5 stations away), Austerlitz and Gare de Lyon (2 stations away)..
Asking since not sure where to book to get reasonable fares ...
Zurich-
What city should we target for a 5 day stay? Lucerne, bern, etc? We would prefer access to supermarkets and variety with restaurants.. should we add Part of glacier express?
Any free flowing comments are helpful..

BHs:
Vacation planning-
We are a family of 5 adults (including 2 seniors) and 2 kids (under 10) (total 7) planning for Europe vacation this summer from US. Would like to visit Zurich (and around) and Paris for sure.. everything else is still work in progress..
q1) with 7 pupils traveling, better to rent a van (big) or still use public transport across Europe? I think public transport will become more expensive and we are looking for comfort/flexibility, etc. If rental, better to rent in Paris or Zurich?
q2) if we go with regular hotels, we will have to book 2 rooms for each night...how is Arbnb or similar in and around Europe?
q3) any 3-4 places strongly recommended within 10 day period? We are not planning Italy.

Thanks,

Re: I did it and feel great about it (paid off mortgage)
Hurray!!
Would u or any of u still pay off the mortgage if in near future (2-3 yrs) you are looking to upgrade to a bigger house? The plan (if it works) would be to rent the paid off house and have a mortgage whenever you buy a bigger house..
Keeping it simple, assuming we can still pay 20% down etc for the newer/bigger house and maxing all 401k, etc..

Worth the cost, does a good job at wrapping the week and provide things to ponder in coming weeks.

Re: I’m not renewing my Costco membership.
We end up buying more then we at each trip.. not sure buying cost effective results in mass buying n probably unused..
I dread each of our trips as we spend at least $250 per trip..

The ticket is bought month is advance. 24 hrs should be applied to travel agents as well as its applicable to airlines. That's kind of...NE ways good learning!

24 hr refund policy on airlines
BHs:
Anyone tried cancelling tickets within 24 hrs when booked via expedia or justfly or hotwire and they are charging cancelling fees (and will refund the difference)? I thought 24 hrs was meant to refund complete fees, no cancellation, no fees, etc. Full refund period but recent experience with justfly.com seems that's not true.
Thanks,
OW

Re: Timing Transaction query
yes, it did say trade date as Feb 05. I was not sure of the timing. I mean was it end or beginning of the day as it affects the purchase price.

Timing Transaction query
Quick/Basic one-
If I had put an order for Fidelity Total Mkt Index Premium for 2018 IRA $5500 on Sat Feb 3rd, the order was executed on Mon Feb 5th, did I bought the shares or transaction at the end of Monday price? The confirmation notice came in Tuesday morning.
Thanks,
OneWorld
