thanks for the advice more info: we are staying in a small town outside of nashville will have rental car travelling with two 4 year olds and a 15 year old whenever we travel we really like to try the "local" food favorites - hopefully not the tourist restaurants will probably have only one afternoo...

Finally got our 5K of ibonds in the mail today (from our tax refund...). Kinda bumbed out. We filed our taxes in early April but it looks as if our ibonds were issued 05 - 2012 they state issue date: 05-03-2012 so we got the lower rate even though we submitted the order in april? ---- edit: ok, now...

I'm a newbie....so take it for what its worth.....But getting the "average" return of the market for one year probably feels rather average. But, I think, getting the "average" return for 30 years will put you way above the 50th percentile.....
