Yesterday I purchased a Toyota RAV4. The salesman mentioned that Honda is having problems with the gas oil dilution issue. The same company owns both the Honda and Toyota dealerships.

Today I went in to buy a Nissan Rogue. Going for the test drive, the salesman said the pre collision alert system works above 35 MPH and not with low speeds. That scared me off. So he tried to prove that it worked on low speeds about 15 MPH. Did not work. It works with moving cars but not parked car...

While the oil issues on the honda are certainly a concern you will probably do better overall on reliability with the Honda. I think the Honda is probably also a nicer vehicle. You will get calls from the Fidelity reps to sell you other items.

Just think of when you get the low price for an oil change or a brake job on your car. You take in the coupon and you are told you need other things for your car.

I moved T Rowe Price, American Century, Safeco, Investco all to Vanguard. All went fine. All done in a week. Not a hitch.
