I'm not a fan of ceramic mugs for the reason you describe - it gets cold too quickly.

It depends where you are. Las Vegas, Phoenix and Florida were hammered by the recession, but they also had big run-ups in value before the recession. Contrast that with where I am, Louisville, and there wasn't a large drop. However, we also didn't have the big run-up before the recession either.

I'm not a fan of self-propelled as those mowers feel heavy and hard to maneuver. Over 20+ years I've had the best luck using inexpensive 20" mowers with a Briggs and Stratton engine.

I find it easiest to look at it like two identical pies.

In this case:

Pie 1 is cut into 10,000 pieces (or shares)
Pie 2 is cut into 1,400 pieces (or shares)

The size of the pie is the same, one is just cut into more pieces.

Anything as simple as an exposed nail-head can cause a leak. A lot of times the heat and ice can push the roofing nails up through the shingles and you have to hammer them back down and put some silicone over the top. As mentioned Scott's has a program you can follow. I use a lawn service myself, then spot spray violets which are aggressive in my neighborhood. If you follow the Scott's program make sure you follow the crabgrass application closely. There is a window of time in the Spring that you need to apply it...

The local trades companies where I am (HVAC, plumbing, etc) all ask for payment on the spot after finishing the work.

I would call again and ask for a bill, or if they are local just stop in and let them know I’d like to settle up what I owe. They’ll probably be happy to see you.

I would use a lawyer. Whatever fee you pay them (a few hundred bucks?) is well worth the chance of not getting that on your record. Keep in mind many prospective employers check your driving record as part of a background check.
