BTW, Bogle's "age in bonds" is a kind of "move toward risk parity as you get older" guideline. If you reduce stocks and shift to bonds that's what you're doing. You should be able to do it on line without calling.

Example: Sell $$$ of Fund XYZ and send to settlement fund in Brokeragelink. Once $$$ is in settlement fund you can then purchase what you want. This usually is a 2 day process if done when the market is open. That's how it works in my plan.

We are able to log in and peruse our accounts.

But, we are on the old mutual fund platform....you know...the one Vanguard keeps asking to migrate away from and go to the "new and improved platform".

Playing devil's advocate we could be looking at a 3.0% FFR at the end of 1Q 2019.

Having to invest during the Volcker years, the phrase "don't fight the Fed" comes to mind. I would stay put in the Vanguard MMF.

As a PSA, we logged into our accounts to verify name, address, email, alerts, bank info and beneficiaries. It was all there.

fwiw My 401k is with Fidelity and I use the Brokerage Link option for some of my funds. The CIT's in the core plan are updated next day and I can see dollar and percent changes for each CIT. The CIT's track their respective indices fairly close and are almost identical to a comparable index. Example...

I don't really care whether Vanguard "loses" or "wins." I don't want them to collapse . I want them to keep operating the funds I personally use. I don't want the fees on Admiral shares of those funds to rise to above, oh, I don't know, 0.10%. I don't think it helps me for Vanguard to get more giga...
