Property tax might be tax deductible. At least here in CA, I mentally cancel out the property tax and insurance while making up my mind over a house.

Starting now, you will contribute to your own HPDP which can at most be (3350/12) * 8.

I've had the best experience with Wells Fargo. Their customer service is awesome. They do push products to you but then how else are they supposed to stay in business. I politely refuse "free financial reviews" with their "expert financial advisors".

I've been grappling with this question too. Interestingly enough, the pricing for the collision and comprehensive(C&C) seems malleable depending on competition. Farmers prices my liability rates to be lower than Geico and tells me that C&C will save me $310 but Geico's higher liability rates...

I noticed that our MAGI for 2015 is going to be around 196k that puts us above the phase out limit for claiming deductions on the Spousal IRA. If you aren't into constructing the PC from scratch - you could buy the Dell Inspiron 3000 from Costco- It has an i7 4790 processor with 16G RAM for $649.
I would also swap out the 1TB hard disk for a 256 G SSD for $100.
The difference in speed will be convincing enough to validate the swap.

I have the 7.3 FX and the wife has a 7.3 FX too. We are pleased with our bikes. I look forward to taking my bike out whenever I can mainly because of the smooth ride. We bought them new. I had a cheaper used bike before and am definitely happy on spending 1300+ on quality bikes.

I live in the Bay Area. 265k is plenty to live by. Your calculations look correct.

I'm sure that having gotten a job that pays you that much you have the smarts to figure out whether to budget or buy an Accord or "keep up with the Joneses". Good job on the new job! :sharebeer
