Comcast is known for making it difficult to bring your own modem if you want to use their voice service. There are only a couple of compatible modems (already listed up-thread) and some people have had difficulty getting Comcast to register the modem to their account.

This means a call on Monday to the servicer for my mortgage, as the 1098 form they sent had nothing in Box 5, even though I paid PMI in May 2017. Hopefully, they're already on the ball and planning to send out revised 1098 forms.
