Too much plastic junk out there. About a year ago I started bringing a bottle of wine to the host family! No plastic crap and the parents seem to enjoy it! Now some families bring us wine and these gifts are definitely being used. Circle is complete!

When we bought our 2nd home in Florida, condo, the seller paid the commission. Don’t know much about the Villages, but we are happy that we purchased our place in Destin 5 years ago.

I was born in Sweden, but has lived the last 20 years in the U.S. We stayed in Copenhagen for a few days last summer and we loved it(haven’t been since I was a kid). Nyhavn is really neat and loved having a Tuborg beer, owned by Carlsberg, in downtown Copenhagen. Great place to rent a bike and enjoy...

I think the Zillow et al estimates tend to be better in newer, cookie-cutter neighborhoods than in older neighborhoods where all the houses are of different styles or have been modified over the years. I like them both, but use Lyft more since they tend to be a little cheaper. And it seems like i pretty often get emails with "25% off for a week" when I tip using the Lyft App. Might be the same with Uber, I'm not sure.

VRBO was bought by Expedia a few years ago. And they decided that they wanted more $, so they added a service fee around 8-10%. I highly recommend serving a tequila that's 100% agave. Jose Cuervo reminds me of TAAKA vodka. Sure it's alcohol, but there are a lot of options that are a lot better. I find Espolon to be way better, and it's about the same price as Cuervo. Try sipping on a good bottle of Clase Azul and one finally...

IMHO, the most beautiful beaches are in the Destin-Seaside area. Incredible how white the sand is and the water is great. If you stay in that area, I would recommend renting a condo (VRBO etc).

Live in a state with maybe the highest auto insurance premium. When i switched to GEICO a few years ago, I saved about 30-40%. It's been crawling up slowly but surely. It's still the cheapest I can find but now only by 10-20%.

One of the reasons I like Costco is the wine selection. Great prices and a lot of different good wines. Plus my 1.5 year loves to sample food as well. Happy kid = happy dad

I'm 6'6 and still fly only economy. Yeah it gets tight and we fly 5-10 times a year. Still can't pay that extra $. We are not poor, but first/business class is just 2-3 more trips we could have taken.
