Sicario: Day of the Soldado. I was not expecting too much, but this is quite good. The screenplay is by Taylor Sheridan. He wrote the screenplays for Sicario, Hell or High Water, as well as writing and directing Wind River.

You Were Never Really Here. A stylish thriller most notable for the performance by Joaquin Phoenix. The story is brutal and sordid, and not terribly original. Thor: Ragnorok . It goes on for too long. It has a surfeit of CGI. But it's also funny and highly entertaining. I avoid GNMAs. In addition to Mr. Swedroe, this is also what David Swensen recommends doing.

It's very difficult to model prepayments, for example.

My additions... Best American Made Better Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol2 Would take Dunkirk off this list. Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri . The cast does a fine job with some very juicy parts in this film by Martin McDonagh ( In Bruges , and Seven Psychopaths ). I would definitely not attempt to make two all-or-nothing one-way bets. This is market timing on steroids.

Assets allocated to stocks should be determined by your need for liquidity, risk tolerance, and the ability to stick with your plan.

Battle of the Sexes. A very entertaining retelling of the Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs tennis match. This certainly belongs on the short Best Movies of 2017 list.

War for the Planet of the Apes. This is really quite good. My only quibble is that the plot includes the tired Hollywood cliché involving the evil military officer gone rogue.
