I've used both and prefer Costco. I loved my boutique audiologist, but she offered nothing above what Costco offers. Costco's trial/return period are insanely generous.

Get her a small set that she can try. She may not even like them and would feel bad that you wasted so much money. I know a lot of artists (none that use colored pencils). Expensive materials do not necessarily add to the joy of art or facilitate the creative process. The artists I know seem to have a few favorite colors and mix them as needed capture the effects they want.

Re: At what point of the accumulation process (DCA), do you hope the market goes up (from a practical basis)?
This is so unrealistic that I would have no idea how to quantify it. If the market stayed flat for that long the economy would collapse. What if something happened that caused you to need the money before your planned date? Even if the question could be answered I don't see how the answer would be actionably answered.

Maybe tell them to check the jobs portal and if there is a specific job they wish to apply for then consider whether or not to advise them. I might be willing to advise them on how to prepare the application and approach a possible interview, but I would not send anything upstream outside of normal channels.

Re: Orthodontics Estimate for 8 Year Old
BradleyB is correct about this being a controversial issue among orthodontists. There usually is not just one treatment plan that will work. When my son and I met with the orthodontists he first recommended extracting 8 teeth: 4 third molars and 4 premolars. My son tugged at my sleeve and said "Let's get out of here, Dad!" He then presented an alternative plan involving no extractions, and he got our business. I would say that 2-phase treatment often is good for the orthodontist because it locks the patient into their practice early. This is not a rush decision. Do your homework.

From the James Hardy website: "Heating and cooling account for 50 to 70% of the energy used in the average American home, according to the Department of Energy. Inadequate insulation and air leakage are leading causes of energy waste in most homes. Rigid foam insulation in conjunction with HardieWrap® weather barrier and James Hardie® siding provides a better solution:"

Re: Avoid using insulation behind Hardieplank siding?
The contractor that did the Hardiplank installation on my house had some sort of certification from the company. As I recall, the entire crew had to go someplace and actually complete some jobs under company inspection. They did use an insulating board under the siding. I suggest you look on the James Hardie website and see if they list any such certified installers in your area. The material can be somewhat difficult to work with. Get it done right.

At one time I was interested in Medieval cooking. I must have been really bored. I barely recall one very complicated recipe where you were to wrap multiple layers of ingredients in a veal breast and roast it. Kind of like a Turducken. The innermost layer was hard boiled eggs. When sliced the inside displayed a beautiful geometric pattern. I would never do that again, but I do sometimes implant hard boiled eggs into a meatloaf and get a similar effect when it is sliced.

If you are not an art expert, and if you seriously want it to appreciate in value, then you will have to hire an art expert to guide you. Your expert might have the skill to predict correctly or might not. Your expert will expect a commission of course. If you sell there will be another commission. I expect you would not speculate on an individual stock. Why this?

I would ask whether the situation demands immediate treatment or if it can be watched for a while. There is a lot of variation in how different dentists diagnose and treat early caries. A somewhat ambiguous shadow on an x-ray can trigger a lot of different treatment decisions. There are cases where such a situation will not progress or do so very slowly. There are also situations where a need for immediate treatment is obvious. You need more information.

If you have negotiated the price online ask the dealer to complete and sign a contract and fax or email to you. Then you sign it and send it back. Have the bank cut you a check for the exact amount. Pick up your new car.Alaska_Skeeter wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2023 9:13 am We live in Alaska and some of the car dealers are over 300 miles away.
Lets say I've negotiated an acceptable out-the-door price on a vehicle.
I want to pay with "cash". I can't use a certified check or money order
because the price was unknown until after negotiations are completed.
I can't drive 600 miles round trip to our bank.
The dealer is not likely to accept a personal check.
So how do I pay after negotiating and acceptable out-the-door price?

A clinical instructor is not on the tenure track. Probably best thought of as someone that is just interested in practicing medicine and not doing research. Which is 90%+ of doctors. I would pay zero attention to any of those titles when selecting a doctor to take care of me or my family. This is the answer to your question. The tenure track faculty (without Clinical in their title) are more likely to devote a lot more effort to competing for research grants, reviewing manuscripts and grants, directing research projects, serving on committees, holding administrative and leadership positions' serving as course directors, etc. Those with Clinical in their title generally devote more time to patient care.
