Re: Shower Door Does Not Close Properly

I think that I have narrowed down the issue a bit. It seems like the rubber piece that runs along the bottom of the shower door is moving. When it moves close to where the door closes it gets stuck and will not let the door close properly. Perhaps the rubbery piece needs to be replaced?

Re: Shower Door Does Not Close Properly

Yep, I think it is hinge that is not working properly. It is making the door sit too low and as a result, the rubber is getting stuck. I might mess with it a little but in the mean time, I will contact the shower guy for his thoughts.

Re: Shower Door Does Not Close Properly

Depending on the shower door, there are several adjustments you could make. First check the screws are all still tight, then look on YouTube for your type of shower door. You could possibly shim the bottom hinge. If it used to close fine, then something has changed and it is not the rubber bottom. ...

I was wondering if anyone has a suggestion regarding how to fix a shower door that does not close properly. It sticks badly at the bottom, almost as if the door has fallen a bit on one side. It is a corner shower (framed) with a door. Any thoughts? Are there any adjustments that I could make? I will...

My tube TV had 20 years of use without a problem before I threw it out. But it was functionally obsolete because picture quality had improved so much in those 20 years. It may have also been a good brand. 1080P LCD TV's are probably approaching 15 years of mainstream use and are not obsolete yet as...

I have thought about the water coming from a toilet from the floor above or water coming in from the window but there is no evidence of water anywhere else in the room except for the countertop, unless the water rolled down the wall from the window and then dried up.

Another option that works in many case. Like many of the previous suggestions to fill the hole. Try using a wooden golf tee. It is tapered and can be tapped in and either snip or cut off.
Interesting. Would I then put screws into the golf tees?

If you don't care what it looks like on the inside, you can cut (or have cut) a small piece of wood to attach to the inside which would give you something to screw into. You'll, of course, need longer screws.
That is a good idea
