Re: My car was totaled. Do any of you have experience with this process?

I can only comment about negotiating value of a totaled car. Our car was towed to our local body shop, where the adjuster declared it totaled. The car would remain at the shop until an agreement was reached on value. The body shop owner told me that the insurance company has to pay the shop a daily ...

Re: Northpointe Bank Website - legit?

It would surprise me too. Before redirecting, I would expect my bank's site to give me a pop-up that explains I will be redirected to <URL>, the bank's partner for online banking services. The way Northpointe bank does it is a little unsettling. When we had an account at Key Bank they partnered with...

No way can you do this, even if you do separate calls. Your Company A customers are going to find that extremely odd and one of them will surely rat you out and complain. Then, even if for some weird reason Company A said it was OK (which they won't), they will change their mind because it's aggrava...

Maybe I missed it, but I couldn't tell if the large drop triggered the company to ditch the fund, or if ditching the fund triggered some kind of penalty that created the appearance of a large drop which only affected investors from this 401k plan.

Morgan silver dollars (1878-1921) should bring $12-$14 each, or more if they are in better condition ( = less wear, no damage). Peace dollars (1921-1935) around $10 each. Of course if there are any rare dates, the price will be higher. Silver bars will sell for maybe $1-$2/ounce under spot price. Do...

Yes, you should absolutely shop around. Since it seems you may have special circumstances that affect your insurance rates, you might try an independent insurance agent who can shop around different companies - perhaps not all of them agree with AAA that you are in a wildfire area.
