It might be legal, but I dont find it ethical at all.... yes I would be offended; here in South Carolina, I once sat a a jury trial for a bum contrator who simply did not pay...he ended up paying....not the home owner Conducting business by threating someone upfront is a real class act ..... Re: How Do You Deal with Status Anxiety?
Status and egos are one on the same...don’t feed either one, feed yourself and your bank account...let everyone else whittle their money away on toys. I once heard the definition of affluence.....it was "trying to impress people you don’t like with money you don’t have" -- If by any chance...

Re: How do you determine if you're being fairly compensated?
IMHO 3% is pretty much standard fare out there... all companies like a bargin, if you dont give 110% your net worth to them begins to slip. The only real issue I see with the company is the lack of insurance ( if I read that correctly, you folks are lacking heath insurance?) If so, I would see that ...

I have never signed up for a Facebook account but I know so many people that have. So, I decided to take a look. Pardon my French, but how the heck does anybody have / find the time to do all that posting. I was shocked to see who has a "Facebook page". More shocked at the information pos...

I have a 2002 "rollin' Corolla" as my little knock-about and commute car... I love it, its very reliable...but I can say anything over 80 miles an hour is death waiting to happen...in fact I sometimes get it up to 70 miles an hour on the interstate and suddenly realize I need to stick with...

Re: Job Question: Easy Job vs. More Lucrative Job
Try to dig, dig, dig up as much information on the company culture as you can...if they are nuts with stress and backbiting I would avoid them like the plague. While boredom is also a motivating factor to leave I would stick it out at the current job rather than juming into a whirling mass of seethi...

IMHO, The Model 29 is a classic a real nice handgun...it will put anything in North America with two or four legs on the canvas. Re: Solar Panels -- make sense now with lower prices?
We haven't had a solar PV discussion in a while -- so I start a new one. Every year or so, I do the math on solar PV systems for my house. Usually after 30 minutes of research I determine it's not worth doing. This week I've discovered that maybe they are worth doing. Here's what I'm looking at. It...
