I have been retired 7 years. I have multiple income streams in retirement. I decided to leave more funds in my checking account rather than invest it.
The idea is to spend more. My portfolio has more than doubled since retirement.

My attitude when I was younger was that it was a good thing when the market was down. Then I was buying more shares for the same amount of dollars I invested monthly. If I sold it was to tax loss harvest and reinvest in similar but not identical funds.
