Lazyday I haven't heard of rating a stock or index by a "Trust factor" either. But something along the lines of a "ratings agency" for bond for stocks would sound like the same thing. But that was exploited to overvalue Bonds recently with derivatives.. so I guess that isn't necessarily trustworthy ...

I think their attractiveness is their past 'Luck'.

People like to be buy into 'Lucky' funds and explain 'Logically' why it wasn't luck at all.

It makes them appear smarter.

It may cost them in the long run, but at least they got the short-term ego boost.

I think its "missed" the Bank was also defrauded by its own employees. This is closer to embezzlement by employees of the bank. Not only did customers loose money, so did the bank.. and the bank must now pay penalties.. which will be passed on through as add-on costs to the current and fut...

Bond funds just seems too Wibbly Wobbly to me.

Short term stock by any other name, without any of the advantages.

Plus your profits are distributed across all of the bond holders and managers involved.. sound familar?
