Many of the Bogleheads (including me) backed up the truck and loaded up on the old 3.0, 3.3, 3.4 and 3.6% fixed rate I Bonds and are now sitting fat, dumb and happy with nice returns on a risk-free investment. But those were the good old days that we may never see again.

I think the only option would be to make a 529 contribution if there is a state tax deduction. This is separate from the EE savings bonds which would not have any sort of tax break if used for educational purposes because I don't think they meet all of the requirements: https://www.treasurydirect.g...

Don't complicate things; you've already got a nicely-diversified portfolio in a single low-cost fund that rebalances automatically anđ gets more conservative as you age.

Magic Jack recently instituted a spam robocall filter. They make the caller press a random number before putting the call through. Doesn't totally eliminate spam, but certainly gives a long way since most spam calls originate with robodialers.

Bond fund investors need to read about and understand a bond fund's "duration". Match the fund's duration to your time horizon and in theory, you'll get approximately the return you expected when you purchased the fund.
