I read somewhere that one of the things ‘rich’ people fear, besides kidnapping, is lawsuits. This dreadful story confirms that.

Re: Does anyone use Personal Capital, Mint, Tiller, or You Need a Budget?

I’ve been using YNAB since 2012. I like seeing spending trends, ie. I spend a small fortune on insurance every year, what can I do about that. I wish I had had this program 20 years ago when the only way to track spending was to write it down and transfer the entries, very tedious.

WOW, that is scary! My computer crashed when I was installing the Latest update. After reading that article I’m slightly relieved that it is out of commission for the few days it is at the authorized Apple dealer for repair. I hope Apple isn’t losing it’s edge.

My husband retired from the military after 27 1/2 yrs. I was a prodigious saver, 50%. I've always tracked expenses. However, two years prior to retiring I tracked very closely using YNAB (You Need a Budget). Now, 2 1/2 years into retirement, we are living well within the budget and able to travel quite a bit. Because we have always lived carefully (frugally), nothing much has changed...
