Why don't you just own the funds as they are and just sell what you need when you need it and move the money into your money market fund as needed? When doing a 60 day rollover, they (401k people) send you a distribution and you deposit that in the bank. If you then "roll" that into an IRA within 60 days, it is not taxed.
