I have linked various checking accts to Vanguard and Fidelity but how do you link Ally's Online Savings to the brokerage firms? How do you locate the routing number for the online savings acct?

I don't believe is a Fidelity issue but employer requirement. My wife's employer also requires the 2 separate breakdown by each year end for next year's withholding. They use Vanguard for the 403b program.

I am sharing my lastpass with my wife but since I have added MFA using my phone (Microsoft Authenticator), is there a way to add my wife's phone to the same account as well so she can login without needing my phone?

I have issue with Lastpass taking a while before generating the auto fill using FF. FF is running well but just noticed Vanguard's site is not fully compatible with FF any more. If you go to the list of funds page at Vang, you can't click on any of the funds. I think this just started last few weeks.

Hypothetically, if the hacker has your ID and PW, couldn't they still by pass the Yubikey and log into the account? I think this is the same for Gmail since they have the option for users to use the SMS option in case you lose your key. Off course this may be too much work for the hacker to spend to...

If the proceeds plus any dividend rec'd is less than your cost basis then is return of capital, no need to report.

Your insurance co would have sent you a 1099 of some sort if you had to report it as income or gain.

I tried buying a JCPenny gift card but the code didn't work. I used it to buy a bunch of grocery from their pantry instead but off course I had to pay $5.99 shipping so net saving was only $2.6 + 5% using their store card. Better than nothing and thanks for the code.

If 1,600 is the monthly maint, you will need another few hundred for electric, cable, year end staff tipping, periodic fixing of HVAC system or replacing old ACs. Have you seen the deals from Simple Mobile, owned by T-Mobile? Their 4g is just as good as ATT and much cheaper. For $40/month you get 8GB of 4G data.

Don't forget to include CDs in your ladder since they yield slightly higher than gov't bonds but comes with FDIC insurance.

Vanguard does offer S&P 500 ETF in HK,

But not sure what the structure is for tax optimization. You will still need to find a broker to trade this. I think IB is ok even though they have the monthly requirement but it lets you buy non local securities at lower commission.

Can you ask your HR or Voya to provide an index fund alternative for US, Int'l, and Fixed Income areas? Is kind of crazy that employers/3rd party admins won't add at least one index fund option given more employees are filing lawsuits against their retirement plans with high cost mutual funds.

If you don't need "Unlimited" then why pay a premium? There are plans for less than $40 that includes 5 GBs a month. My wife has 1 GB and doesn't even use half. I use zero. For me data is a waste of money.

The freedom funds are fund of funds so the fund has no expense ratio but the underlying funds do. You have to look for acquired fund fees.

Why would anyone listen to the Pimco guy? Just look at this Pimco All Asset All Authory returns vs. Vang Wellesley. Higher std dev and lower return. Not a good combination.

If there is a surrender charge I am assuming is some sort of insurance wrapper and the agent is making a nice commission, otherwise there shouldn't be a surrender charge.

If you can get the prospectus and if it is longer than 50 pages, is very likely is an annuity or other insurance product.
