Re: Any danger in having all my retirement in Vanguard?

For no specific reasons, I would never put all my investments with one custodian. Am glad all my jobs have had different custodians like Fidelity, TRP, Merrill Lynch... So my Roth's and taxable are with Vanguard. Very grateful that it turned out that way for me.

Pakistan is on the verge of being blacklisted by FATF. 25% of its equivalent of GDP goes in interest payments. I would stay away from any investment there. Your "friend" may even be trying to con you.

Hyundai Tuscon or Nissan Rogue

We're in market for a small SUV. Looking to buy 2018 or 19 with 30k miles max. Market research says it should cost $16k-18k. What do bogleheads think about this choice? Secondly, trying to decide between a Tuscon and a Rogue. Internet reviews rate them about the same overall. Any personal experience...

Definitely give a 2 weeks of working time notice. If they request longer, talk to your new employer and try to accommodate that too.

When we were forced to move 3 years ago, we sold the house that fulfilled our definition of the dream home. The reason we haven't b...

"doing nothing all day" is generally a transition phase. You enjoyed doing nothing all day on days off work from your current job. But when you don't have that job, "doing nothing all day" is not the same thing. Look for some volunteer work to start with, and let your internal GPS guide you.

The only place that could trump it would be Himalayas. Never really been there, but got close a few decades ago. My current research shows everything is so westernized from India and Nepal sides, it wouldn't offer much cultural immersion. From Pakistan side, terrorism is an issue.
