Only declined once I was bailing my dog out of the vets after a 3 day visit for a rattlesnake bite, I was declined on the $1500 vet bill. I have to say it wasn't the CC fault, we were shopping all morning in a town 3 hours from home, and had probably rang up $2k in purchases. :beer

I never use any Quicken backup, I just copy the file I am using to Seagate expansion drive every day after I update my accounts. My app is there also trouble is I use Chromebooks for everything but Quicken and TurboTax. :beer

An unnamed german auto some years back had ac compressors that sent metal filings through the whole ac system, Compressors were changed out but the metal filings just continued to ruin all the new parts that were just installed. I always tip in cash, the server can chose if the tip is reported.

I really like STAR had it for a decade, and started getting killed on end of year capital gains. Plus trying to convert tIRAs and not knowing until the end of the month wasn't fun. Use STAR in a tax advantaged account especially with the bond allocation. I swapped out for ETFs.

Yikes, when I make a mobile deposit I get an email/SMS alert, and when that deposit clears I get another email/SMS alert. Than I file the emails away until I get my statement. Never a problem. :beer

I never thought I would need it in the mountains of SE Arizona. Well luckily I had it at a free add on on my homeowners policy. Hurricane Odile changed that, what was normally a 20 ft wide wash in the monsoon season, became a 200 ft wide wash. Caused about $20K worth of damage to a sunroom.

Living 30 miles from Mexico, we always have 4 for a dollar avocados. $3 would buy 4 of each category of ripeness. I buy avocados a little hard/green 3 days in a basket when soft to the touch than to the fridge and use over the next couple of days. :beer

If a lab procedure is "medically necessary", I have never had one denied. I have PSA tests done twice a year no problem, so I am not sure about the 1 year one day rule. :beer

My favorite is having to sign docs with your full name and full MI. Mine is sorta cursive fist and last with MI printed. For my passport renewal I had to practice my signature. :oops:

We had our 2 tank 1000 gal septic inspected at our house purchase 12 years ago. 2 adults, no disposal, no dishwasher, showers as needed. Finally had our tanks pumped after 11 years, our guy said we were close but OK. I will get it pumped out in 5 years and see how it looks $250.

I pay $48 a year under/uninsured $100K/$300K, I live 30 miles from Mexico and I drive to shop 1/2 mile from the border. Cheap insurance for me.
