Quebec is great. I was there in May with my little one. It was cold then. We stayed at the Hotel Frontenac. Great place. Quebec is in the French area but English is spoken widely. I live not too far from there and have been many times as a kid also. It feels like you are in Europe.

You will have to pay sales tax and doc fee again when you buy out your lease. You will pay sales tax on the residual. In the end it is more expensive overall to lease a car and then buy it out.

Since it has only been 4 months I would take it back to the dealer. I am not certain, but since it was a very short time since the repair the part should have its own warranty. Ask to speak with the service manager. I bet they will do something.

The first question I would ask yourself is, Would you buy $950? Based on the condition that you are stating you can basically throw out KBB trade-in or retail price for it. Do you know what is wrong with the idle? If it is an easy and inexpensive fix it should not hurt your chances. You may even wan...

Unfortunately there is no negotiating a lease buyout. The dealer has nothing to do with it. They do not own the car, the finance company does. Buying out a lease in most cases costs more than if you originally just bought the car out right. In most cases a leased vehicles value is less than buyout v...

The next time someone calls, you could tell them you've heard the dealership can cosign for you. (True statement, you heard it here. Anyone can cosign for someone else if they choose to do so.) If they end the call with "we will look into it", you're in great shape. After that, whenever anyone call...

Prepaying doesn't work. According to the lease company there is not a deal. Sometimes it is easy to blame the dealership. I do not think they are scaring you at all. The values for 2018 vehicles are not out yet for KBB. Where I live there is no diminished value until you sell it. Then you can realize the loss. I guess if you were to run it into the ground you are not losing any value compared to when you trade it in and you lose trade in value due to a loss.

Don't bother fixing it. Best case scenario is you get the full $650 back in trade in. Most likely the dealership has its own body shop and will fix it for less than what you will be able to and the loss in appraisal value will not be the full $650 in value.
