An update for Bogleheads. I got my hard copy of November Consumer reports. The TV numerical ratings appear to be the same as the pdf, as well as the model numbers and price. But the detailed test results with the colored arrows are totally jumbled. The are not just misaligned, but look as if they we...

With 2 knee replacements we came close to reaching the cap for rehab, but went into the next year, so we got it covered.
The no cap rule is great. Knee rehab therapy is not something a patient voluntarily will overspend. The want to be done ASAP.

My research showed that a type A CCRC does not care if you have LTCI. You must qualify on the assets you have on hand, and if you ever are in a position to need more care and qualify for payments under LTCI, then the payment is made directly to you by the insurance co. Of course it is a duplication ...

Must be a dental school thing, because I have never had my blood pressure taken in decades of going to the dentist.
Same for DW, and hers runs 135/70.
She has white coat syndrome, so she would never be able to get dental work. She had a 3 hour multi tooth bridge procedure last year.

But the opposite is that 50% will need nursing care, and if the person lives alone and does not have any daughters to look after them, then you have a different viewpoint on this.
Not everyone has the support that your family has, so we have to look at some type of CCRC facility.
