You will have to think about premium increases. My LTC policy was issued about 15 years ago when they underpriced them. Seven years ago I got a 70% increase. This year I got a 130% increase. Yep.... I am canceling it since I am now in a CCRC and can afford the upcharge for Nursing care for many year...

Thanks for the responses. I guess the reason for keeping the s t bond fund was to keep 5 years cash in case of a drop in the market, and use that for my RMD. That way I would not be selling Target Retirement assets in a down market. I would just use the bond fund for my RMD until the market recovers...

Had this exact problem. Replaced the seal and not a problem. I had to trim the seal so it fit better. It was too low and hit the threshold. Next time I will use a straight edge rather than free hand the cut.

With 2 knee replacements we came close to reaching the cap for rehab, but went into the next year, so we got it covered.
The no cap rule is great. Knee rehab therapy is not something a patient voluntarily will overspend. The want to be done ASAP.

My research showed that a type A CCRC does not care if you have LTCI. You must qualify on the assets you have on hand, and if you ever are in a position to need more care and qualify for payments under LTCI, then the payment is made directly to you by the insurance co. Must be a dental school thing, because I have never had my blood pressure taken in decades of going to the dentist.
Same for DW, and hers runs 135/70.
She has white coat syndrome, so she would never be able to get dental work. She had a 3 hour multi tooth bridge procedure last year.
