I always listening Ric, but not following his ridicules statements regarding ETF's, using financial advisers.... its absolute and ignoring index funds like they never exist. I also was vary surprised by his latest ... that s&P's dividend is 3%. Sometimes he like to overstate a bit. :happy

I'd suggest looking into I Bonds. Great for education saving, and inflation protected. I had awful results from a 529 plan and glad I switched. It is maybe good step on your part if you started investing into 529 when stocks were high let say in late 90's and yearly 2000's, but it is not necessary ...

We have Amica for 3 years. Last year they raised our policy a lot, even thought our cars are getting older and we never had any claims. If next time they will have hike like this I will Bouglehead them all the way. ))) Rule #1-Never have any loyalty to any Ins. company.

Never lump sum when the market is at all-time highs. I'm way more confortable DCA'ing at these levels. Just remember that this was the case in 1984 - at the start of the greatest stock bull-market in US history. +1 in addition,keep in mind that stocks in general haven't moved on a higher levels act...
