Looking at the longer terms. And I realize these could be Callable. What are these CDs investing in?
I would guess they are making more than they are paying out.

If you are comfortable and happy at Vanguard why not move the Roth there? Are they any fees where your Roth is now?
Are there Income Investment options? CD's or T-Bills

Re: Vanguard account hacked?
I seem to run into this problem with Vanguard usually from sometime Friday night to anytime thru the rest of the weekend.
It will let you reset your password. And most of the time the new password will not work either.
I am just assuming that Vanguard is doing IT/computer work or maintenance. A courtesy screen would be nice, but why would Vanguard do that?!!!
So they just default to not accepting your password at such times.
If you try too many times. Of course you will be locked out!

Just received a corrected 1099 from TDA this week. I noticed the first one seemed to be missing a couple of the usual lines so was kind of expecting another one. Believe it or not one year I received 5 different 1099's for the same TDA account over a couple of months. One of them was a month after the filing deadline.

Hi Tim,
I used the Tax Estimator on OLT.com Its about half way down the page and is still the 2022 version. I used that to compare what the prior year version of Turbotax was giving me when i was estimating my 2022 taxes last year.
You could use the free versions on freetaxusa.com or olt.com for 2022 to estimate for 2023.

Turbotax - IRA End of Year Total?
Age 65. First time running into this on TT. I did my first ever Roth conversion in 2022. TT is asking me for the 2022 year end total of my IRAs.
Do i put just the regular IRA totals? Do i include the Roth Ira in this total? And what about my 401K, where does that fit in? Is this just part of the TT process or does the IRS want this year end total? I get that the year end number is needed for the RMD calculations.

Thought it was relevant. I have been 75% or more in the market since 1985. After after retiring and reading Bernstein's Stop When You Win The Game
It eventually got thru. That and seeing posts by many others at 50/50. I would be 50/50 without the other income stream. Most likely by creating one myself after reading Taylor's posts.

Funds are automatic rebalancing.nisiprius wrote: ↑Wed Jan 25, 2023 12:53 pmHow are those three "bucket strategies" in any sense of the word? If you are drawing from any of these funds, you are always drawing on stocks and bonds in the same proportion as they are within the fund. If you are withdrawing from the Balanced Index Fund every $1,000 you withdraw is $600 in stocks, $400 in bonds, no matter if the stock market is up or down, and no matter what your age is.
Buckets are manual rebalancing. Market Timing here?

Windows 10 with Edge browser.
Stuck on .aspx logon white screen for local bank. No problems with this for the previous 2 years.
The same site works with Android devices. I do not use my phone for any financial sites.
Uninstalled the recent windows 10 update and no change.
Also installed Firefox and Chrome browsers with the same issue encountered.
Checked Youtube and had no luck so far. I am not a code programmer.
Looks like this .aspx has been an issue for some users going back 10 years or more.
The microsoft thread i found was quickly locked by microsoft for no reason i could understand. And no answer.
So if anyone can help or point me in the right direction...

Yes. Many years past now. It was a gift card from a safety program at work. Thought it was maybe one I had used up previously. The cashier she seemed a little bit off during the transaction but I like to give the other person the benefit of the doubt that they might be having a bad day.
edit It was the outdoor seasonal section and the card was out of my sight briefly before it was given back.

I did have a different Retailers card with a zero balance. Got a replacement. It was a work promotion. There were a bunch of doa cards.

I feel safe using the known 2023 IRMAA threshold ($97k for a single) even though the 2024 IRMAA threshold is estimated to be even higher than that. Not saying you should fee safe there or you should convert more, just that you probably could if you want.

The receipt was the kind with the old carbons for swiping credit cards. Doubtful if it is still legible.
Currently keeping one pair closed with a rubber band. Several other make a loud crack when opened and are loose closing.
Just looking to replace current hinges without any woodworking other than plugging old holes for traction with new screws.

I want to do a 50K Roth conversion. +5k on pension federal tax withholding currently.
190K last year working in 2021. Retired now. 2022 Pension of 25k and 12k dividends, interest, c.g. for 38K income in 2022. No S.S.
So it looks like another 5k in federal taxes owed if i do a 50k Roth conversion.
I have been seeing posts for estimated tax penalties and safe harbor. Should I just convert 25K?
Is Vanguard timely with their Roth conversions?
