Re: Turbo Tax vs.CPA

Don't useTT on a MAC. I've been using TT successfully for at least 15 years but this years software (2011) has issues with MACs. One of their reps told me about that on the phone after about an hour spent trying to get it to work on my computer.

I buy new thru the internet (saved over $2 K on the Lexus, including trade-in) and keep my cars forever. I had a 73 Vette for 23 years. Upkeep has been minimal on these tw...

Everybody is different. I love my sleep number bed. I've had it for at least five years, probably longer. It is king size. Before buying it I had a lot of back trouble and had to sleep on an air mattress. Back problems are 99% gone now.

I've had termites in two of the five homes I've owned. Usually you first notice them when they SWARM in the spring. We only had to do minor repairs. In my current home in Florida there is a pest control problem and we have a service. After the builder's five year termite warranty expired our service...

I appreciate it. I wouldn't know where to start and I think 8% is not bad when I let Vanguard do most of the work. Thanks a lot.

Rate of Return on IRA

Question. I'm 80, almost 81, my wife is 79. We have taken the RMDs every year that we were required to. On 12/31/02 our IRAs equaled 339K, as of 12/31/10 they were worth 427K and we have withdrawn $167K. What is our rate of return? On 12/31/93 ourIRAs were worth 168K. I can't track it back any furth...

I have purchased two cars thru internet sources and am very satisfied. The latest Lexus was $1500 less than the local dealer for the identical car. We had to wait a couple of weeks but that was no big deal (in February, not model changeover). In a third case we paid a local and very helpful dealer $...

I'm 80 years old, I've had lots of dogs. You and your dog will both be better off if you go through obedience training together. If your dog is part border collie be aware that some people rent sheep, and fields, so that border collie owners can exercise their dogs properly. Good luck.

I'm new to this but I plan to attend this meeting and further my education. I live in Venice so there is no problem traveling.
